Singing is your birthright, and all humans deserve to sing.
My students must have gigs on the books, and I'll help create one if needed.
Could be a concert, studio date, karaoke, church solo, Youtube posting, or a serenade for your Gramma's birthday -- but we perform frequently, because deadlines work.
Classical pedagogy offers great vocal hygiene lessons, but you can't sing Ariana Grande using Pavarotti techniques. Effective training is genre-specific.
I make extensive use of video and recording devices during each lesson. If you're camera-shy, it's awkward at first, but students get over that fear very quickly.

I studied classical at Sarah Lawrence in New York and Wadham College in Oxford, England, before I moved on to jazz, musical theatre, and pop. My childhood genres were country and rock. I am currently a professional music director on staff at Seattle Unity, leading and training dozens of singers each week.
I've been a Tedx coach, a Toastmasters coach, workshop facilitator, event host, university level acting teacher, worship leader, conference trainer and convention planner. I have a Masters in Acting, an AEA card, and a steady directorial job.

I've won a few songwriting awards and I'm published in several anthologies, including books from Unity World Headquarters and Hal Leonard.
